Your existing tools are doing half the job.

Most small business owners are sitting on untapped automation inside tools they already pay for. Some AI features are worth adding - but only the ones that pay for themselves quickly. I'll help you tell the difference.

Most business owners are wearing hats they don't need to wear.

Some of those hats can be removed using features already built into the software you're paying for.

Others can be removed with simple automation or practical AI.

The goal isn't more technology.

The goal is one less hat.

12%
of Australian businesses used AI last year - most already own the tools (ABS)
21โ€“40 hrs
per month spent on financial admin by 1 in 5 Aussie owners (Dext, 2025)
78 hrs
lost per year chasing payments (GoCardless, 2025)
~50%
of paid software licences go completely unused

What this looks like in practice

A mix of illustrative examples and real, verified feedback from clients - like Kim's below.

"Rob set up a new scheduling system that combines all of that into one smooth operation that saves me from spending my Sundays at my computer."

Example scenario

Owner assumed they'd need an expensive new AI tool. The scheduling software they already paid for handled 80% of it - the rest was a $15/month upgrade that pays for itself.

45 minutes. One plain-English report.
A clear path forward.

No prep needed, no jargon, and no pressure to sign up for anything. Just a clear view of what's worth automating first - using tools you already own.

1

We talk through your day

I ask about your workflows, your busiest pain points, and the tools you're already using. No homework required.

2

I map what's worth automating

What you're doing manually that doesn't need to be. What's sitting idle in your existing tools. And the few AI features that actually earn their keep.

3

You get a one-page action plan supported by a detailed Assessment Report

Every opportunity identified, prioritised by impact - not complexity. What to do yourself, what to get help with, what to ignore, plus step-by-step guidance if you want to implement anything on your own.

4

You decide what happens next

Implement it yourself or engage me to do it with you. No lock-in either way.

After an assessment, clients commonly discover:

Every business is different. But these findings come up again and again.

Most businesses leave with at least one zero-cost improvement they can implement immediately - and typically uncover 2โ€“5 hours per week of avoidable admin.
  • โœ“
Features they're already paying for but not using
  • โœ“
One or more zero-cost automation wins
  • โœ“
AI upgrades that genuinely save time (and ones that don't)
  • โœ“
Software subscriptions they can avoid purchasing
  • โœ“
    A prioritised action plan - not a to-do list
  • โœ“
2โ€“5 hours per week of admin that can be reduced or eliminated

20 years helping big organisations run better.
Now I do it for small ones.

I spent two decades in operations and process improvement at large Australian financial institutions. I know what efficient looks like - and I know how much time gets wasted when the right tools aren't set up right.

Small businesses deserve the same clarity. Before we ever talk about anything new, we look at what you're already paying for. In most cases, the answer is right there in your existing tools. It's just not switched on.

Straight answers, before you ask

What does it cost?

The Tools & AI Assessment is $495 + GST. If you engage me for implementation afterwards, the full amount comes off your first invoice - so the assessment effectively costs nothing if we keep working together. (GST-registered? You claim the GST straight back.)

What if you find nothing worth fixing?

Then you'll hear that in writing - and I'll refund the assessment in full if I can't identify at least one actionable improvement. I don't sell software, take commissions, or invent work. In practice, around a third of what I recommend costs nothing more than a settings change in a tool you already own.

Will you try to sell me new software?

No - that's the whole point. We start with what you're already paying for. If a new tool or AI feature genuinely earns its keep, I'll say so and show you the maths. If it doesn't, I'll tell you to keep your money.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No. Bring yourself and an honest description of your week. I'll bring the questions.

What would you do with an extra 2โ€“5 hours each week?

In one 45-minute session we'll identify where your existing tools, automation and AI can remove unnecessary work from your day.

Let's find the first hat you can take off.

The assessment is $495 + GST - credited in full against your first invoice if you engage me for implementation. And if I can't find at least one actionable improvement, you get a full refund.
